Civil Society in Kenya Condemns Sudan’s Use of Chemical Weapons
Nairobi: Alsudanianews
“Hundreds of Kenyans, including activists, politicians, lawyers, and human rights and environmental advocates, protested outside the Sudanese embassy in Kenya against the Sudanese army’s alleged use of chemical weapons against civilians. The protesters condemned the Port Sudan government’s actions as inhumane and demanded an end to the violations to protect civilians. They expressed concern over attacks on humanitarian aid convoys, citing a recent incident in the Al-Koma area where five people were killed and several injured. Despite denials from both the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces, local sources suggest an airstrike involving drones may have occurred.

The protesters called for urgent UN intervention to protect civilians and pledged to organize further demonstrations at the UN, East African Community, and African Union headquarters to push for peace in Sudan.”
