The President of the Presidential Council of the Republic of Sudan, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, issued a Constitutional Decree No. (3) of 2025, appointing Mr. Mohammed Hassan Osman Eltaishi as Prime Minister. The decision, which is based on Article (68)(1)(a) of the Transitional Constitution of the Republic of Sudan for the year 2025, stipulated that the competent authorities shall put it into effect as of the date of its signing. The Prime Minister is expected to assume his duties as Head of the Executive Branch during the transitional period, at a time when the country is undergoing intensified efforts to finalize governance structures and face the current security, political, and economic challenges.
