Drone Attack Targets Jabal Sirkab Camp North of Omdurman, Killing Soldiers

Military sources told Al-Sudaniya News that several members of the Sudanese army and special forces were killed in a drone attack that targeted Jabal Sirkab camp, northwestern Omdurman, on Tuesday morning. The camp is one of the most prominent military installations in the Karari area.
The source explained that the airstrike caused a number of casualties among soldiers, including members of the special forces and the Bara Battalion, without any official statement from military authorities confirming the details of the incident or identifying those responsible for the attack.
Jabal Sirkab camp is considered one of Sudan’s main military sites. It was previously under the Special Operations Group of the National Intelligence and Security Service before coming under the control of the Rapid Support Forces after the group was disbanded. Following the outbreak of the war in 2023, the camp suffered heavy bombardment by the Sudanese army, resulting in significant losses among the Rapid Support Forces, before the army eventually gained full control of the site.
This attack comes amid continued military escalation around the capital, Khartoum, where the warring parties are increasingly using drones in field operations.
