Government of Peace Welcomes UN Visit to Darfur, Pledges Cooperation on Humanitarian Response and Peace Efforts

The Government of Peace welcomes the visit of Mr. Tom Fletcher, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, to Darfur, covering Tawila, Golo, El Fasher, and Nertiti. The Government reaffirms its commitment to working with the UN and humanitarian organizations to address urgent needs and ensure aid reaches all those affected by the conflict. It also reiterates its support for the Quad Initiative and its commitment to advancing comprehensive peace, aimed at ending hostilities and addressing the historical roots of Sudan’s conflicts.
