As part of the sixth diplomatic engagement on the current European tour duly
undertaken by comrade, Abdul Wahid Mohammed Ahmed Al Nour, chairman of the
Sudan Liberation Movement, accompanied by distinguished delegation from the
movement’s leadership, the delegation arrived in the French capital, Paris, on 23
November 2025, as previously stated during this mission. The team held a number of
consequential and constructive discussions with senior officials of the government and
representatives of key civil institutions.
The deliberations,- which commenced with a meeting at Medecins Sans Frontiers (MSF)
on 26 November and subsequently followed by high- level consultations at the French
Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs on 27 November, tackled the following
principal matters:
 A comprehensive and articulated briefing on the historical root causes of the
Sudanese crisis tracing its evolution into the ongoing war and the political
instability that has persisted since 1955.
 An in-depth review of the grave humanitarian situation engulfing Sudanparticularly in Darfur, Kordofan , White Nile and Blue Nile regions, encountering
imminent threat of severe famine, due to relief and humanitarian denial which
imposed by the warring parties and instrumentalization of humanitarian aid as a
tool of war. The delegation underscored the urgent necessity of robust regional
and international intervention, and to exercise all forms of political and
diplomatic pressure on the parties to the conflict, to allow unfettered delivery of
relief and humanitarian assistance through all corridors and crossings.
 A detailed account of the alarming deterioration of public services, including the
collapse national infrastructure, severe economic decline, soaring unemployment
and profound educational disruption that has deprived millions of Sudanese
school-going children and students for nearly three years.
 Reaffirmation of the Movement’s principled stance regarding the ongoing 15th of
April conflict, which – ignited by the extremist Islamic movement- and its
position of strict neutrality with respect to all parties involved.
 Presentation of the movement’s proactive initiatives since 2019, including its
proposal to address the humanitarian situation in El -Fashir prior to the outbreak
of fighting in the city, as well as its unwavering commitment for the
establishment of an inclusive, civilian- led national front, aimed at halting and
ultimately ending the War. This pioneering initiative seeks to bring Sudanese
from all walks of life, except the National Congress Party (NCP) and its affiliates,
as well as any actors who voluntarily choose not to participate.
 Reaffirmation of the movement’s steadfast endorsement of all regional and
international efforts aimed at achieving swift resolution to the war in Sudan,
including the initiative undertaken by the International Quartet (QUAD) as well
as the recent statements issued by the U.S President Donald Trump.
 A resolute appeal for sustained and intensified pressure on all parties to the
conflict and their prompt acceptance of an immediate, comprehensive and
internationally monitored ceasefire. This call encompasses the Sudanese Armed
Forces, the Rapid Support Forces, and all Revolutionary Armed Movements
The government of the French Republic, together with its civil institutions, conveyed
their sincere appreciation and profound admiration for the movement’s vision,
perspectives and forward-n looking proposals. They emphasized their unanimous
support and pledged to deploy every earnest effort – through their roles within the
European Union and the United Nations Security Council – to stand with the Sudanese
people, their just cause, and their tireless endeavors to end the war and to realize
freedom, dignity, and a peaceful, civilian – led transition.
Furthermore, French authorities reaffirmed the steadfast commitment of the French
Republic to supporting the Sudanese people in their pursuit of genuine democratic,
