Sources reported , yesterday, March 17, 2026, that security measures and decisions have been issued in several Gulf countries, Europe, and the United States targeting Islamic groups and organizations, including entities and individuals operating under various names.

In a related development, the sources indicated the issuance of an international security notice concerning approximately 500 Sudanese diplomatic passports issued in recent periods.

These passports are currently under review and scrutiny amid suspicions regarding the mechanisms of their issuance.

According to the sources, the passports were issued unusually quickly, and there are concerns they may have been used to facilitate the movements of individuals under international security monitoring.

Some of the names listed are reportedly associated with ongoing international sanctions measures.

The notice reportedly relies on listings under the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, specifically under the Global Terrorism designation (SDGT), places individuals in question under financial sanctions and security monitoring.

On the ground, Kenyan authorities have taken precautionary measures, issuing directives to tighten checks on diplomatic passports at border points and enhancing security coordination to review the data of holders and monitor their movements.

The lists have also been circulated to several regional countries, including Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Chad, Egypt, and Gulf states, which have begun implementing strict monitoring procedures within the framework of regional security cooperation.
