Hemedti :the absence

The commander of the Rapid Support Forces was accused  Mohamed Hamdan Daglo . the absence of the armed forces’ delegation, which has been hijacked by the Islamic movement, from the negotiation table, has hindered all efforts made by the mediation. This absence will be a cause for the prolongation of the war and the exacerbation of the Sudanese people’s suffering. Such indifferent attitudes towards the lives of Sudanese people and their aspirations for the future should not be tolerated.and added (

I commend the considerable efforts exerted in the Geneva negotiations regarding the cessation of the ongoing war, the facilitation of humanitarian aid delivery to those in need, and the enhancement of civilian protection. We are truly grateful to the mediation team led by the United States of America, and to the joint hosting by Switzerland and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the monitoring by the United Nations, the African Union, the United Arab Emirates, and the Arab Republic of Egypt. We welcome these efforts and the formation of the joint group among them, which we hope will contribute to establishing peace and stability in Sudan. Our delegation participated in the Geneva negotiations with sincere intentions and a genuine will to reach outcomes that would alleviate the humanitarian suffering of our people, who are facing catastrophic conditions. However, the absence of the armed forces’ delegation, which has been hijacked by the Islamic movement, from the negotiation table, has hindered all efforts made by the mediation. This absence will be a cause for the prolongation of the war and the exacerbation of the Sudanese people’s suffering. Such indifferent attitudes towards the lives of Sudanese people and their aspirations for the future should not be tolerated. We reaffirm our full commitment to the pledges we made in the Switzerland meeting, foremost among them being the response to the simplified notification system to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid, and to exert all efforts to mitigate the effects of this catastrophe on the Sudanese people, who are afflicted by this war. We will not hesitate to positively engage with any serious initiative aimed at ending the war and building a new Sudan on just foundations that eliminate injustice and marginalization for all Sudanese peoples. We did not start this war, nor do we wish for its continuation, and we will make every effort to stop it in a just manner that ensures it will be the last of Sudan’s wars.
