The Prime Minister of Sudan, Mr. Mohamed Hassan Al-Tashishi, has issued a decision forming an independent national committee to investigate the allegations and violations that occurred in the city of El-Fasher.
The decision was made pursuant to the Transitional Constitution of Sudan (2025), Article (72)(h), and the Commissions of Inquiry Act (1954), Article (3), both paragraphs.
According to Prime Ministerial Decision No. (7), which amends the composition of the Committee of Inquiry into the Events of El-Fasher, the decision takes effect immediately upon signing. The amendment also adds new members representing Forensic Medicine, the Ministry of Interior, and the Military Judiciary to the existing committee.
Committee Composition after Amendment:
Dr. Ahmed Al-Nour Al-Halla (Public Prosecution) – Chairperson.
Dabka Ibrahim Mohammed (Public Prosecution) – Member & Rapporteur.
Eid Ali Al-Baash (Public Prosecution) – Member.
Adam Al-Quni Al-Labi (Military Judiciary) – Member.
Representative of the Ministry of Interior – Member.
Representative of Forensic Medicine (Ministry of Health) – Member.
Representative of the Government of the Darfur Region – Member.
The decision further stipulates that the Prime Minister may add members at any stage of the investigation, and that the committee shall employ its own administrative support staff.
