SLA Transitional Council Condemns Army’s Targeting of Humanitarian Convoys
Alsudanianews:Sudan
The Sudan Liberation Army (SLA) – Transitional Council has strongly condemned the bombing of humanitarian aid convoys by the Sudanese army’s air force. On June 2, 2025, the attack targeted a World Food Programme (WFP) convoy in the Kuma locality, killing aid workers and threatening the safety of civilians.
The SLA described the incident as a “heinous crime” and a “flagrant violation of international humanitarian law,” constituting a war crime. They called on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations to take a firm stance against these attacks and hold those responsible accountable.
The organization emphasized that such attacks will not deter them from providing humanitarian assistance to those in need. They demanded that the international community take responsibility for protecting humanitarian aid in Sudan, particularly in regions with high numbers of displaced persons, such as Darfur.
The SLA paid tribute to the martyrs and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.
