Sudan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs Condemns Al-Kuma Massacre

The Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Government of Peace has strongly condemned the drone attack carried out by the terrorist militias of the Islamic Movement on October 11, 2025, targeting a gathering of civilians in the market area of Al-Kuma, North Darfur.
In yet another crime added to the long record of horrific violations against civilians in Darfur, the terrorist militias of the Islamic Movement carried out a drone attack on the morning of Saturday, October 11, 2025, targeting a gathering of civilians in the market area of Al-Kuma, North Darfur. The assault resulted in the deaths of dozens of victims including women, men, and the elderly as well as a number of innocent children.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Government of Peace affirms that this heinous crime reflects the continued practice of genocide and ethnic cleansing carried out by these armed gangs against the people of Darfur, in blatant defiance of international law and human rights conventions.
The Ministry also reminds that several leaders of these militias are wanted by the International Criminal Court for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity. Nevertheless, they persist in carrying out such attacks openly and defiantly, challenging both the international and regional communities, as well as international human rights law.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs strongly condemns and denounces this brutal crime, expressing its full solidarity with the families of the victims and the injured. We pray to Almighty God to grant mercy and forgiveness to the martyrs and a speedy recovery to the wounded among the women, children, and innocent civilians.
The Ministry calls on the international community, regional organizations, and human rights bodies to take urgent action to stop these repeated crimes against civilians, hold those responsible accountable, and provide the necessary protection for populations living in civilian areas with no military presence.
