TASIS Condemns Drone Strike on Zalingei Market, Affirms Right to Respond

The Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) has strongly condemned a drone attack that targeted a civilian market in Zalingei, Central Darfur, describing it as a new crime added to the ongoing pattern of violations against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Sudan.

On Friday, 13 February 2026, a drone affiliated with this army targeted the “Kilo Etnin Market” (Saraf Omra transport station) in the city of Zalingei, Darfur Region. The attack resulted in the killing of three civilians and the injury of six others, including two women. It also caused a major fire that damaged a number of civilian shops and private properties.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, praying for mercy and forgiveness for those we have lost, and we wish a swift and full recovery to the wounded.
After more than one thousand days of war, it is evident that the crimes of this terrorist army will not cease unless they are confronted through sustained political, diplomatic, and legitimate military means. The continued targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law and reflects a persistent disregard for human life.
The Sudan Founding Alliance affirms that it reserves the right to respond to any harm inflicted upon our citizens across Sudan as a result of these criminals actions.
