KHartoum: Alsudanianews
The Sudanese National Observatory for Human Rights reported an escalation in arbitrary arrest campaigns and enforced detentions targeting civilians in Khartoum State, allegedly carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces and allied militias.
According to the Observatory, raids and detention operations have targeted civilians in several neighborhoods across Khartoum, raising growing concerns over unlawful arrests and detentions without transparent legal procedures.
The Observatory stated that its field team is currently working to reach witnesses and victims in order to document the incidents and gather evidence for submission to international human rights bodies.
The statement warned that the continuation of arbitrary arrests and enforced disappearances poses a serious threat to civilians and reflects the worsening human rights situation in Sudan amid the ongoing conflict.
