Confirming what Sudanianews had exclusively reported, citing informed military sources, Pakistani military support has arrived for the Sudanese Army through the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including weapons, armored vehicles, and combat equipment.
Amnesty International has expressed concern over the arrival of modern weapons to traders who have close ties to the Sudanese Army, calling on all countries and companies to halt the supply of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment, whether directly or indirectly.
In a statement, the organization urged all countries and manufacturing companies to “immediately stop supplying arms, ammunition, and military equipment to Sudan, whether directly or indirectly,” warning that the continued flow of weapons would exacerbate civilian suffering and prolong the conflict.
Human rights organizations are also demanding that the arms embargo be expanded to cover all parts of Sudan, arguing that the current situation requires urgent international measures to curb the flow of weapons to both sides of the conflict.
In the same context, the Emergency Lawyers group called for the expansion of the arms embargo to include the entire territory of Sudan, arguing that limiting it to Darfur is no longer compatible with the nature of the current war.
Earlier, senior military sources had revealed to Sudanese News that Pakistani military support had reached the Sudanese Army through Saudi Arabia, including weapons, aircraft, and armored vehicles, in a development that could reshape the balance of fighting in the country.
The sources confirmed that a number of armored vehicles arrived at Port Sudan during the past few days, and that a large number of them were transported to the capital, Khartoum, where some of them were reportedly displayed in the city’s streets.
First Appearance of the Pakistani “Muhafiz-V” Armored Vehicle
Video clips circulating on platforms supportive of the Sudanese Army reportedly showed the advanced Pakistani “Muhafiz-V” armored vehicle being displayed for the first time in the streets of Khartoum.
According to the specifications published by the manufacturer, HIT Armour, a company specializing in defense industries, the vehicle is built on a Toyota Land Cruiser LC-79 chassis equipped with a heavy-duty suspension system designed to ensure maneuverability under various conditions.
The sources indicated that the Pakistani support is not limited to armored vehicles, but also includes drones and fighter aircraft, in an effort to help the Sudanese Army regain the air superiority it lost at the beginning of the war, after the Rapid Support Forces intensified their use of drones to seize new areas.
Saudi Arabia’s Role and Accusations of Fueling the Conflict
The source told Sudanianews that the Pakistani weapons arrived through the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which, according to the source, “has significantly contributed to providing weapons to the Sudanese Army, which is dominated by the Islamic Movement,” thereby fueling the war that the source alleges was ignited by the Islamic Movement in an attempt to return to power in the devastated country, even if only over its ruins.
The source added that these military vehicles have now arrived through Saudi Arabia, which has played a major role in supplying arms to the Sudanese Army dominated by the Islamic Movement.
The source further alleged that Saudi Arabia is a partner in the killing and destruction of the Sudanese people through its repeated support for the Sudanese Army, not only through conventional weapons but also through chemical weapons.
The report states that the United States had accused the Sudanese Army associated with the Islamic Movement of using chemical weapons and had imposed economic sanctions on senior generals affiliated with it. It further claims that Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Islamic Port served as a cover for the supply of chlorine from an Indian company, according to American investigative tracking reports concerning the chemical substance chlorine allegedly used in several areas during the Sudan war, including the capital, Khartoum.
According to the source, this means that Saudi Arabia has become a biased partner of the Islamic Movement and its army in their war against the Sudanese people, bearing responsibility for the alleged use of internationally prohibited chemical weapons and violating Sudan’s sovereignty, international law, and humanitarian law.
