Looting of Villages and Al-Kanabi in Al-Kamlin in Northern Gezira State
GEZIRA: ALSUDANIANEWS
The series of burnings, killings, and forced displacement of Al-Kanabi residents in Al-Gezira State continues at the hands of the Sudanese Armed Forces, Sudanese Army militias, and their allies against the Al-Kanabi and their ethnic groups in Al-Gezira State.
On February 19, 2025, a force from the Sudanese Armed Forces attacked Ronga Camp in the Al-Masid Unit and set it on fire, in a deeply regrettable scene. These militias attacked innocent civilians and looted all the property of the residents of Ronga Camp. As a result of the fire, a large amount of money was burned. The same force, led by the criminal militia Ibrahim Al-Sati, also moved from the town of Al-Lawta and attacked Al-Kanabi villages in northern Al-Gezira, in the Al-Masid area. As a result, men, women, youth, and the elderly were beaten, and many homes in the village were looted.
The same militias also attacked other villages in the Kanabi, including:
– Kambo Talba
– Kambo Al-Bargan
– Zalingei Village
On the pretext of their cooperation with the Rapid Support Forces, these unarmed civilians have no connection to any armed force.
We, the Central Committee of the Kanabi Congress, condemn and denounce in the strongest terms this barbaric attack. We warn these racist thugs who continue to commit massacres, gross violations, and ethnic displacement against the Kanabi people.
Message to the Sudanese Armed Forces Command:
We know that you are part of these attacks and gross violations that are taking place around the clock against the Kanabi people. This ongoing genocide against the Kanabi people and their ethnicities will not go unpunished. No matter how long it takes, the rights of the Kanabi people will be restored, for crimes do not expire with a statute of limitations.
To the Kanabi communities:
You must confront and defend yourselves, for this is a legitimate act.
Urgent appeal to all Kanabi people:
Unite to confront these challenges. Kanabi youth in the joint forces and regular forces of all stripes must head to the north of the island to protect their people from the brutality of these racist, ignorant, and immoral thugs.
Long live the Kanabi people, free and dignified.
